Terrasvogels Softball is founded in 1958, so this is the 48th Softball season. Terrasvogels is still one of the most successful teams in Europe. For many years they have been the main supplier of the Dutch national team. In the Dutch league Terrasvogels finished in the top four for the last ten years. Last year they were runner-up and this year they are aiming to become champions again.
This year the team welcomes some new players. Femke Haage and Annemiek van Riessen are new to the team. Nicole Wessels came back out of retirement and Amy Marie Sadowl joins us from the United States. Five players of Terrasvogels are still members of the Dutch national team. Five more have played for the national team for many years.
This year the team is coached by Darwin Tolzin who has been a coach and a pitcher for many years at the highest level in the United States. This tournament he will be assisted by Marco Molleman and Bas
Masteling.
