JOURDS PRAHA - Czech Republic
The history of our club SK Joudrs Praha dates back to 1991. From its beginning Joudrs has evolved into one of the strongest softball clubs in the country and now Joudrs incorporates 5 teams with over 70 players. In 2005 Joudrs together with men softball club Iuridica Outlaws opened its new area – Svoboda Park. Shortly after the opening of the new grounds, in August 2005, Joudrs co-organized the 14th European Women Championship. Currently a second diamond is under construction.
Joudrs A team plays the Czech first women league since 2000 and last two years finished second in the competition. This success granted us JOUDRS the entry to the ECWC tournament. Last year, on our first appearance on ECWC in JOUDRS’s history, we were very successful and finished third on ECWC in Ronchi dei Legionari.
Some of our recent achieved accomplishments:
Women A – silver position in the Czech first women league in 2005 and 2004
- bronze medal from the European Cup Winners Cup in 2005
- silver on the Indoor Cup in 2006
- winner of the Prague Softball Week in 2005
Moreover it is worthwhile to mention that many of our players are members of the Czech national team and Czech U-19 team.
